Multi Compartment Smoke Control Damper (SCD) EIS MA/AA Classified

SEDM- The SEDM is a multi compartment smoke control damper (SCD) classified for Integrity (E), Insulation (I), and smoke leakage (S) for application in smoke ventilation systems and can be utilised for both mechanical smoke extract and air makeup. The SEDM damper can be installed in compartment boundaries (walls and floors), multi compartment ductwork (tested to EN 1366-8), or single compartment ductwork (tested to EN 1366-9) and has been tested with duct systems specifically for the UK market. The SEDM damper can be utilised in systems with Automatic Activation (AA) and systems with Manual Intervention (MA) such as systems with delayed activation or firefighters override control. The SEDM damper is Cmod classified which allows it to be used for 3-position control in both 24v or 230v formats.

Specifications

Multi compartment smoke control dampers are for use in smoke and heat control systems which serve multiple smoke zones and cross multiple fire compartments. These dampers can be closed for compartmentation and isolation or open to provide a smoke extract or makeup air path. The damper blade is driven by a drive open/drive closed actuator which is mounted within a fire rated enclosure. The SEDM damper can be used in systems with Automatic activation (AA) where dampers have a single operation on activation and in systems with Manual intervention (MA) where dampers may have delayed activation or may have more than one operation such as post event smoke clearance or firefighter's override. These SEDM dampers can be installed in compartment boundaries or in smoke extraction ducts tested to EN 1366-8. The SEDM damper can be supplied with or without flanges for duct connections. The SEDM SCD can be manufactured with stainless steel (AISI 316L) components and Promat SR impregnation for calcium silicate components as a factory fitted option.
